MENNO'S EXISTENCE
I was born in 1973. I started to play bass
on the age of sixteen.
Some of my ' bass heroes': Mark King, Marcus Miller, Billy Sheenan
and of course - last but not least - Glenn Hughes and Roger Glover. On the age of sixteen I started to perform
with several rock bands. Some names: Out of Order, Cut the Crap,
Final Exit, LeoN. I also did some interesting 'projects' with
some great bands. I won't bother you with all the details, I
think it is enough to clear out that during my 'infamous past'
I really had a good time playing with all those different people
and playing different styles of music (like blues, rock, rock
'n roll and hard rock).
PURPLE RAINBOW
How did I became a member of this cool tribute band...? To be
honest, it just happened! Someone told me that "a Deep Purple
and Rainbow tribute ban"' was looking for a bass player and I
thought 'well, why not?'. I contacted them and a few days later
the mailman delivered me a cd with all the songs of Purple Rainbow.
I locked myself up for a few days and soon we rehearsed for the
first time. There was some serious grooving done!
